Kate Middleton seen for first time since surgery as Palace shares new photo

The Princess of Wales has been seen in a series of photos as she and Prince William celebrate an important event. Despite currently recovering from abdominal surgery and not due to return to duties until at least Easter, Kate features in a gallery of images shared on her and William's official social media accounts.The pictures show her meeting inspirational women over the past year, all in honour of International Women's Day.All the snaps of Kate were taken before her surgery, and most have been seen before.

However, this is the first time an image of the princess has been shared on the official channels since December 31.On that day, the social media accounts did a round-up of the events both she and William had attended last December.

Among the pictures shared of Kate is one of her meeting Sarah Goldson, who trains ball boys and girls for Wimbledon. A video was released of Kate taking part in the training ahead of last year's Wimbledon championships, reports the Mirror.

There's also a snap of her with Bianca Sakol, the co-founder of Sebby's Corner baby bank, which she visited in November. Another picture shows her with Dr Gubby Ayida - the CEO of Evelina London children's hospital, which she visited last December.As well as Kate on her own, there's also one of her with William, as they are pictured beaming as they converse with Professor Uzo Iwobi, the founder of Race Council Cymru, who they met in Cardiff in October.A snapshot also shows Prince William beside remarkable women such as Sarina Weigman, the England Lionesses manager and Renee Salt, a survivor of the Holocaust.
