Gary Goldsmith is one of the names on the rumoured Celebrity Big Brother line up, but it doesn't look like he's got the support his family behind him.The controversial businessman is uncle to the Princess of Wales and is famously outspoken.

Gary, 58, has reportedly "infuriated" his older sister Carole Middleton, 69, and her husband Michael, 74, with his latest TV venture.The couple have "read Gary the riot act" and are "not happy" about his decision to take part in the show, according to The Sun. "Gary said he’s been read the riot act by Kate’s mum Carole and her dad Michael," a source said. "They aren’t happy he’s going into Celebrity Big Brother." The insider went on to say that the family feels Kate, 42 - who is recovering from abdominal surgery - doesn't need the "stress" at the moment.They added: "It is infuriating for them.

Kate doesn’t need this stress." However, Gary has only ever spoken fondly of his niece Kate and her husband Prince William, 41.

He's also believed to have maintained a close relationship with the Middletons over the years. He attended Kate and William's 2011 nuptials, as well as Kate's sister Pippa's wedding to James Matthews 2017.
