Kate Middleton is currently recovering in hospital following a successful abdominal surgery at a private London hospital and it isn't the first time the mum-of-three has been admitted due to health complications in the past.It is yet to be determined why she had to undergo the procedure, following Kensington Palace's announcement on Wednesday confirming the Princess had the surgery.
Kate will spend the next 10 to 14 days recovering before returning home to Windsor. The statement also added that the Princess of Wales, 42, is unlikely to continue any royal duties until after Easter and that in respect of her privacy, the Palace will only provide necessary updates on her health.
It comes several years after Kate was diagnosed with acute morning sickness - hyperemesis gravidarum - during pregnancy and described the experience as 'rotten', according to the Mirror with Kate even admitting to preferring labour as a result.
She was rushed to hospital by husband Prince William after becoming severely sick in the early stages of pregnancy with her first born son Prince George back in 2012.
