The Army has taken down a statement from its website that said Kate Middleton, the Princess of Wales, would be at the Trooping the Colour in June.
Tickets for the military event on June 8 were being sold on the official website, with an advertised appearance by Kate, as of Tuesday evening.
It's understood the event details were published because of Kate's role as Colonel of the Irish Guards, the regiment which is trooping its colour this year.
However, it seems the Army didn't get approval from Kensington Palace before putting up the page, and the website has now been updated. The King was also listed as attending the main Trooping ceremony on June 15, also known as the Birthday Parade, because it celebrates the sovereign's official anniversary.
