won’t be attending King Charles’ coronation ceremony next month — and at least one royal is reportedly relieved by the news.
Kate Middleton, 41, is said to be pleased that she won’t have to come face-to-face with Markle, 41, after Prince Harry, 38, revealed private details of their 2018 squabble over a bridesmaid dress. “It would have been particularly uncomfortable for Kate,” an unidentified royal observer told the Daily Mail Wednesday.
The source added that the future queen isn’t the only one thankful Markle has opted out of attending. “Charles will [also] be pleased,” the person declared. “The rest of the family will [also] be relieved that Meghan won’t be there.”While Markle will stay home in California with their children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet, Harry will head to London to attend the coronation alone. “Buckingham Palace is pleased to confirm that the Duke of Sussex will attend the coronation service at Westminster Abbey on May 6,” a spokesperson stated. “The Duchess of Sussex will remain in California with Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet.”While royal watchers had long suspected fractious relations between Kate and Markle, Harry divulged details of the sisters-in-law spat in his bombshell memoir, “Spare,” released in January.
In the controversial tome, Harry alleges that Kate started a passive-aggressive argument via text four days before his 2018 wedding to Markle that left the “Suits” star “sobbing on the floor.”Kate’s daughter, Princess Charlotte, now 7, was set to serve as a bridesmaid at the royal wedding.
