Kate Middleton was over the moon when she realised she'd backed a winning horse at Royal Ascot on Friday 17 June.The Duchess of Cambridge, who was attending the annual horse racing event with her husband Prince William, the Duke of Cambridge, couldn't believe her luck when she discovered the news.

In sweet pictures of the Royals enjoying their sunny day out, Kate, 40, could be seen laughing and giggling as her jaw dropped in shock.

Watching the race unfold from Ascot's royal box, Kate immediately whipped around to confirm the news with another guest. And as she celebrated over horse Perfect Power's triumph, William, 39, strode over to praise his wife.

Smiling and sharing a cheeky grin with the Duchess, William looked incredibly natural as he laughed and joked with his wife.
