Kate Middleton has missed the annual St Patrick's Day parade. Since The Princess of Wales married Prince William, she has taken over the role of participating in the St.
Patrick's Day parade annually (with the exception of 2020 and 2021 due to the pandemic). However this year, the 42-year-old mother to Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis has missed out on the traditional appearance as she is still recovering from her abdominal surgery.
Instead, she was replaced in the ceremony in Aldershot by Lady Ghika, the wife of Lieutenant colonel Major General Sir Christopher Ghika.
Although Kate was unable to make the parade this year, she and William posted on their Instagram and Twitter accounts to pay tribute to the Irish Guards.The video was captioned: "Happy St Patrick’s Day!
