King Charless III and son Prince William made a surprise visit to greet the crowds of mourners waiting outside London’s Westminster Abbey to view the body of the Queen, where queue times have been in excess of 14 hours.

Sophie, Countess of Wessex is the wife of Prince Edward, Earl of Wessex, who's Queen Elizabeth II and Prince Philip’s youngest son. We got the first-ever Paddingtons."The Grand Tour host explained his mother soon had to move out of the spare bedroom and into a factory before the treasured toy was mass produced.Jeremy went on: "And now everyone is leaving them outside the gates of Buckingham Palace as a mark of respect for the Queen."I just wish my mum had lived to see it.

It has reportedly become the longest queue in history, as tens of thousands of people continue to line up to pay their respects to the late Queen Elizabeth II, lying in state in London’s Westminster Hall. 

The Prince Harry and Meghan Markle drama continued into the weekend as it wasn’t clear if the Sussexes would be attending a pre-funeral reception at Buckingham Palace on the eve of Queen Elizabeth II’s funeral.  The Duke and Duchess of Sussex – who settled in California after stepping down as senior royals in 2020 – reportedly initially received an invitation to the Sunday evening reception, but conflicting reports said they were and weren’t expected to attend.  According to the Telegraph, they have now been uninvited because palace officials insisted that the reception hosted by King Charles III and Camilla, the queen consort, is only for working royals, which Harry and Meghan are not. As the nation continues to mourn for The Queen following her death last week, many of us will now be turning out attention towards the funeral, which will be incomparable in scale and grandeur to any funeral we have seen before. While many of us will have seen state funerals in the past, such as after the death of the Queen Mother in 2002 and Princess Diana in 1997, far fewer people will recall the death of the previous Sovereign, King George VI’s funeral which was held in 1952.

A man is in police custody after he moved out of the queue of mourners and approached the Queen’s coffin in Westminster Hall on Friday night.The man was quickly brought down by the police in the hall. Metropolitan Police said the incident occurred around 10pm, as the live feed from inside the hall cut away for a brief period.
