Kate Middleton flies the flag for Wales in bright red for St David's Day visit

Prince William and Kate Middleton have today (March 1) visited the 1st Battalion Welsh Guards and attended their St David's Day Parade.

The Prince and Princess of Wales are attending the parade at Combermere Barracks, to celebrate St David, the Patron Saint of Wales.

Arriving at the Barracks, Kate sported a stunning red coat, a colour that is associated with the Welsh Dragon, and a glamorous black fascinator-style hat which she paired with some black gloves.

Sticking to a red and black theme, she also donned some black boots, and carried her belongings in a small black bag.The Princess further accessorised with a subtle brooch of the Welsh Guard's sigil.
