Kate Middleton reportedly faced a ‘cutting comment’ from her grandmother-in-law, the late Queen, over her choice of renovation.
The Prince and Princess of Wales were gifted the luxury Anmer Hall country retreat on the Sandringham estate as a wedding present from Her Majesty.
It’s one of the couple's three homes, with Kate and Wills often enjoying the peace and quiet of the countryside with Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis at the property.
After being given the home, Kate was reportedly put in charge of the £1.5 million refurbishment of Anmer Hall that was completed in 2015.
