Kate Middleton caught Prince William's eye with see-through dress at charity show

It's been more than 19 years since Kate Middleton caught Prince William's eye at a charity fashion show. In 2002 while at St Andrews University, the future Duchess of Cambridge walked the catwalk in a see-through dress that later sold for a whopping £78,000.

Kate and William were close friends at university, and they enjoyed an eight year relationship leading to the day the Prince proposed whilst on holiday in Kenya.

The couple, who have now been married ten years, first met in 2001. As their chemistry began to build, Kate admitted at first she was "very shy" when meeting the Prince and would go bright red.
