Kate Middleton has held her first meeting at Windsor Castle following the conclusion of her chemotherapy treatment. The Princess of Wales announced last week that her treatment had ended, and she would gradually resume her royal duties.
In a touching video featuring Kate, her husband Prince William, and their three children, the future queen—who was diagnosed with cancer in February—expressed her eagerness to return to her official duties.
The 42-year-old said: “My path to healing and full recovery is long, and I must continue to take each day as it comes.” The Mirror reports that the Court Circular, which records the activities of working royals, included an entry today stating: “The Princess of Wales, Joint Patron, The Royal Foundation of The Prince and Princess of Wales, this afternoon held an Early Years Meeting at Windsor Castle.” Kensington Palace confirmed this marks Kate’s first official duty since she was hospitalised in January for abdominal surgery.
Following two weeks in the hospital, she was discharged to recover at home.A few weeks later, doctors diagnosed her with cancer, prompting a course of preventative chemotherapy.
