Charles, Prince of Wales (Charles Philip Arthur George; born 14 November 1948) is the heir apparent to the British throne as the eldest son of Elizabeth II. He has been Duke of Cornwall and Duke of Rothesay since 1952, and he is the oldest and longest-serving heir apparent in British history.
He is also the longest-serving Prince of Wales, having held that title since 1958. Charles was born at Buckingham Palace as the first grandchild of King George VI and Queen Elizabeth. He was educated at Cheam and Gordonstoun schools, which his father, Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh, had attended as a child. Charles also spent a year at the Timbertop campus of Geelong Grammar School in Victoria, Australia.

Over this, they wrote: "Wishing a happy birthday to The Duchess of Sussex!" Following closely behind them, Prince Charles, 73, whose unusual food habit was revealed recently, and his other half Camilla, 75, also shared a short and sweet message for the occasion.
Sharing a similar snap of Meghan, they wrote: "Happy birthday to The Duchess of Sussex!" alongside a red balloon emoji. Fans of the royals were quick to comment, echoing the same sentiments as one person wrote: "Happy birthday to one of the most humble, pretty and powerful woman alive.
May The Almighty continue to guide and guard you." Another shared: "Happy Birthday To Meghan Mountbatten-Windsor, The Duchess of Sussex, May there always be peace, love and joy in her life.!!" While a third added: "Happiest birthday to Ms Meghan [three birthday cake emojis] May this daring lady live long prosperous and happy life with her family."
