Kate Micucci said Monday that she is cancer-free after having surgery a week ago following a lung cancer diagnosis. The Big Bang Theory alum took to TikTok over the weekend to thank well-wishers “for of the good wishes and all the love” after revealing her diagnosis. “I have great news which is that I am cancer-free,” she said Saturday. “The surgery last week went great, all the reports I got back are that it worked out and I don’t need to do any more treatment.” She also thanked her nurses and doctors for the care and for “figuring [the diagnosis] out early, because I am very very lucky and I know that.” Thank you to everyone who sent good wishes this week.

She said the diagnosis was a surprise because she’s never smoked. “But I guess it happens, and so the greatest news is they caught it early, they got it out — I’m all good,” she said at the time.
Mucci most recently was cast in a voice role for the upcoming animated Angry Birds Mystery Island TV series. Her other credits include NBC’s Four Kings, Scrubs, Till Death, Raising Hope, Steven Universe, How I Met Your Mother and Malcolm in the Middle, among others.
