Kate Mara & Gabriel Luna Premiere New Movie 'The Astronaut' at SXSW 2025
justjared.comKate Mara is hitting the red carpet at 2025 SXSW film festival. The 42-year-old actress and co-star Gabriel Luna posed for photos together at the premiere of their new movie The Astronaut on Friday (March 7) held at ZACH Theatre in Austin, Texas.
Writer/director Jess Varley was also in attendance along with producing father-son team Bradley and Cameron Fuller.
In The Astronaut, when astronaut Sam Walker (Mara) returns from her first space mission, she’s found miraculously alive in a punctured capsule floating deep off the coast of the Atlantic Ocean.
Expecting to be reunited with her husband (Luna), she finds herself placed under intense NASA surveillance in a high security house for rehabilitation and medical testing under the control of General William Harris (Laurence Fishburne).
