The 53-year-old Good Morning Britain presenter made a tearful return to the ITV breakfast show on Friday, on which she gave the heartbreaking diagnosis that Derek may 'never recover' from the effects of Covid-19, despite beating the virus.
Derek has been in a comatose state for the past 10 weeks and may stay that way for a year or more, doctors have warned Kate.
Speaking to The Sun, Kate has revealed that she has unearthed an old message from Derek while packing him a bag of washing items for hospital.
