Kate Garraway will share the ‘raw and emotional story’ of the past year of her life as husband Derek Draper continues to battle the effects of coronavirus in her new book, The Power Of Hope.

The presenter, 53, will give readers an insight into what she and her family have been through during Derek’s ‘long fight’ against Covid-19.Derek, also 53, was admitted to hospital in March 2020 with coronavirus, before being put into an induced coma to help his body fight the infection.He remains in hospital almost a year later, and while he no longer has coronavirus, it has left him with damage to many of his organs including holes in his heart.
