Due to the ongoing COVID restrictions in the UK, The Good Morning Britain host hasn’t been able to see her husband in person since Christmas.
Derek, a political lobbyist, has been in hospital since contracting COVID-19 last March and while he has now overcome the virus it has ravaged his body, leaving him with holes in his heart and lungs.
The 53-year-old is currently in a fragile state of consciousness and Kate feels that the barring restrictions are ‘unhelpful’ in his case.
