Kate Garraway has shared her delight after her husband, Derek Draper, spent his first weekend at home in over a year. He was diagnosed with COVID-19 in March of 2020 and spent the last 12 months in hospital after becoming severely ill with the virus.
He was put into a medically induced coma to help his body recover and now he is finally home with his family. He returned home via ambulance last week and is receiving 24-hour care at the property, which Kate has adapted for his needs.
