Reality TV star Kate Ferdinand thanked the universe for her newborn baby girl, a year after she suffered a miscarriage.The 32-year-old and her retired footballer husband Rio Ferdinand, 44, announced their pregnancy news in January this year, after sharing that she had a miscarriage in July last year.
Now the mum-of-two, and step mum to Rio's three children, 16-year-old Lorenz, 14-year-old Tate and Tia, 11, has shared a message of "hope" a year after she received the devastating news.
Posting to her 1,400,000 Instagram followers, Kate said: "22.7.22, This day last year we went for our 12 week scan and realised I’d had a miscarriage.The pain was numbing I honestly didn’t know how I’d cope. "Today 22.7.23, I’m feeding my beautiful 12 day old baby girl Shae. "Although I’m tired and hormonal as I sit here now I couldn’t be more grateful, feeling so lucky, what a special gift new life is, the most precious ever. "Thank you universe, do much can change in a year, for anyone who may be struggling try and hold on to the hope." Fans and celebrities alike have rushed to support Kate, in response to the emotional post.
Michelle Keegan and Mrs Hinch simply commented heart emojis, while friend and former TOWIE co-star Georgia Kousoulou said: "needed this today, thank you x" A fan said: "I went to register the birth and death of our daughter on 7/1/20 and welcomed her sister on 7/1/21.
