Royal fans were thrilled when Prince William and Princess Kate Middleton unexpectedly joined in on a Nerf gun battle in Norfolk.

Young royals, Prince George, 11, Princess Charlotte, nine, and six year old Prince Louis, were all in on the action with their parents at the Gone Wild Festival at Holkham Hall in Norfolk, engaging in a playful Nerf war complete with toy guns and smoke bombs.

The Princess of Wales, who bravely shared her cancer diagnosis earlier this year, was seen getting fully involved, as she "grabbed a Nerf gun, ran around, and played stuck in the mud with her kids" revealed Georgina Barron, the head of Norfolk Nerf Parties to Mail Online.

During what was described as a "wholesome family day out," little Prince Louis was reportedly heard excitedly shouting: "Nerf or nothing, let's do this!" It's reported that the Wales family attended The Gone Wild Festival alongside pals last weekend, specifically requesting an energetic, "high-intensity, non-stop game of Nerf fun", reports the Express.
