Kasabian claim their sixth UK Number 1 album with The Alchemist’s Euphoria this week. The Leicester-born rock group, comprising Sergio Pizzorno, Chris Edwards, Ian Matthews and Tim Carter, outsell their closest competition 2:1 with their seventh studio LP.
The Alchemist’s Euphoria is the first release to feature Sergio on lead vocals, following the departure of former frontman Tom Meighan in 2020.
With an impressive six Number 1 albums now under their belt, Kasabian pull level with British music icons including the likes of Pink Floyd, Muse, Arctic Monkeys, Radiohead, Blur, Paul Weller, The Chemical Brothers and more, who all scored six chart-toppers apiece.
Celebrating their latest Number 1, Kasabian told Official Charts, "To get our sixth Number 1 is absolutely phenomenal, this one has got to be the most special.
