Looks like Karla Sofía Gascón heeded Oscars host Conan O’Brien’s words during last night’s telecast. The Emilia Pérez star took to Instagram to thank the Academy for her recognition and the invite to the ceremony, previously in question following her tweet controversy, in which she expressed anti-Islam and racist remarks that had resulted in some tension between film distributor/streamer Netflix.
