EdinburghLive.Procurator Amber Feeney told Paisley Sherrif Court that the incident took place at 5.20am after Amin approached the car park.She said: "Witnesses were working in the NCP Main Office when the accused's car approached the drop-off and pick-up point and pressed the intercom button."He was informed he had to pay £4 to use the drop-off, pick-up area."Amin advised he was dropping off his mother and that he had a disabled badge on display."She went on to add: "The witness further stated that the badge didn't allow payment exception and the accused became irate and began punching the screen with his fist."Amin then grabbed a torch from his vehicle and smashed the display four times, causing it to smash."After smashing the machine, Amin went on to pay the small fee of £4 to gain access to the car park.Feeney went on to tell the court: "Police were contacted due to the damage done to the machine. The amount of damage totalled £2700."Police viewed CCTV and took note of his registration number and when interviewing the accused, he stated 'The parking man refused to lift the barrier.' He was not cautioned and charged at that time."Defending, Kirsty McGheean explained to the court that Amin believed his disabled badge would allow him access for free when he was dropping off a relative."It is his view that disabled badge holders are allowed into NCP car parks without paying," she explained.She went on to add: "It's his view that the parking worker was confrontational and he was told that he had to park and pay for his fees.

This summer, Goldenvoice is branching off that approach into a one-day gathering of its own — the Palomino Festival — set to go down for the first time July 9 in Pasadena.Kacey Musgraves, Willie Nelson & Family and Jason Isbell are newly announced as the headliners for the inaugural event, which will take place at Brookside at the Rose Bowl, a park adjacent to the storied stadium that Goldenvoice has used for a number of other genre-specific festivals in the last decade.
