There will be no Kanye “Ye” West at Coachella this year, according to TMZ. The publication reported that Ye’s “decided to pull the plug on his performance” at the two-weekend event in Indio, California.
As to why Ye, 44, would back out at the last minute, TMZ reports it’s “unclear exactly why” he decided to walk away. The publication also notes that Travis Scott was supposed to join Ye onstage, marking his biggest performance since the fatal accident at AstroWorld. HollywoodLife has reached out to YE’s camp for comment.
We will update this post with any new information when made available. Kanye first threatened to walk away from his headlining slot because of Travis Scott. Billie Eilish — one of the other Coachella headliners, along with Harry Style — made a comment during a concert that seemed to shade La Flame.
Kanye then took offense on behalf of his friend and collaborator. He demanded that Billie publicly apologize to Travis or he, Kanye West, wouldn’t perform.
