Kanye West has been dropped by his talent agency following his highly controversial posting spree on social media last week.Per a Variety report, West – now legally known as Ye – was dropped by his agency, the Los Angeles-based 33&West on Monday (February 10).
At 33&West, Kanye was represented by agent Daniel McCartney who took to social media to announce that he and the agency would be severing all ties with the rapper.According to Variety‘s reporting, McCartney wrote in a now-expired Instagram story that 33&West were dropping Kanye “effective immediately”, explaining it was was “due to his harmful and hateful remarks that myself nor 33&West can stand for.”Rolling Stone also reports that a staff member who worked at Kanye West’s company Yeezy (also known as YZY) had quit the company following the rapper’s offensive posting streak over the weekend.Per Rolling Stone, the staffer was identified as Eric Cui, and that he at one point served as Yeezy’s Chief of Staff.
Cui wrote in about his exit: “I loved working at YZY because I believed in your dream.
