New Chelsea signing Kai Havertz has made his shirt number request to the Blues - and it's set to become vacant. Havertz has moved to Stamford Bridge from Bayer Leverkusen in a £71million deal as part of Frank Lampard's summer rebuild.
The club are yet to confirm his shirt number with many assuming he would take the No.10 jersey following Willian's switch to Arsenal.
But, according to The Athletic, Havertz has asked to wear the No.29 - the shirt he donned for Leverkusen. Fikayo Tomori currently has that number for Chelsea, but the defender looks set to complete a season-long loan move to Everton.
The 22-year-old played 22 times for Chelsea in all competitions last term, and won his first England cap against Kosovo in November last year.
