Marcus Rashford (born 31 October 1997) is an English professional footballer who plays as a forward for Premier League club Manchester United and the England national team.
A Manchester United player from the age of seven, he scored two goals on both his first-team debut against Midtjylland in the UEFA Europa League in February 2016 and his Premier League debut against Arsenal three days later.
He also scored in his first Manchester derby match, his first EFL Cup match and his first UEFA Champions League match. With United, Rashford has so far won the FA Cup, EFL Cup, FA Community Shield and UEFA Europa League.
If Manchester United head coach Ruben Amorim is to add to his squad during this month's transfer window he is going to have to rely on departures first.
The word from United is that there is "no money" to be spent on new recruits over the next four weeks or so, meaning there is a very realistic chance Amorim might have to wait until the summer before being provided with the ammunition he needs to make the necessary changes.
But given the club's current predicament, they could do with a signing or two in the mid-season window to give the squad and the supporters a much-needed boost.
In an ideal world, United could do with swooping for a both a left-sided wing-back and a centre-forward this month. United do not currently have a viable option to fill the left wing-back berth and goals have been in short supply this season.
