Justin Bieber is reportedly planning a major comeback to the music industry in 2025, after a four-year absence.The popstar’s last studio release was 2021’s ‘Justice’, his sixth album, which included singles such as ‘Peaches’, ‘Holy’ and ‘Anyone’.Since then, he has gone through a high-profile break-up with his former longtime manager Scooter Braun.

The two had been working together since 2008 after Braun discovered Bieber through his YouTube channel, but it emerged in 2023 that the singer was “looking at how he might extract himself” from his contract with Braun.In June 2024, Braun then announced that he was retiring from music management, after also having parted ways with the likes of Ariana Grande, Demi Lovato and David Guetta.Now, it appears that Bieber is plotting his comeback, according to a report by Puck News’ Matthew Belloni.

It suggests that he is working on new material and plans to tour as well, speculating that he may be motivated by financial needs.“I’m told Bieber needs the money and wants to work,” Belloni noted.

He cites the cost of the cancellation of the Justice World Tour in 2022 and 2023 due to health reasons as a possible factor.The tour was called off after Bieber revealed his diagnosis with Ramsay Hunt Syndrome in June 2022, which had temporarily paralysed the right side of his face.The only previous indication that Bieber had been back in the studio came last September when Mk.gee revealed that he had been working with the singer on new material as Bieber “searched” for his next phase.“Anything that comes out of his mouth: That’s pop music,” Mk.gee said.
