Liverpool’s latest insipid attacking performance has backed up Jamie Carragher ’s claim that the front three of Mohamed Salah, Roberto Firmino and Sadio Mane need to be phased out.
The Reds lost their fifth successive home match for the first time in their history against Chelsea last night, with Jurgen Klopp’s men barely threatening to score.
It has been three games since a member of that front three have scored, with Firmino currently on a seven-game goal drought.
The downturn in the front three’s attacking output has been a key reason behind the Reds’ struggles in the Premier League this season, with Klopp’s men now four points adrift of the top four.
