Jurgen Klopp is "full of trust and faith" in Nathaniel Phillips as the centre-half is handed a rare start at Brighton. The 23-year-old played at the heart of defence as Liverpool saw off West Ham earlier this season.
He will partner makeshift defender Fabinho as he makes just his second Premier League start. Klopp confessed that he does try and seek continuity with his defensive line but the nature of the circumstances make that difficult.
He said: "Again (another centre-half pairing). Thats it. They did really well against West Ham and Nat is a super boy. "I don't like to change the last line constantly but on the other hand he has to have an opportunity. "I'm full of faith and trust in him and he'll give his everything.
