Julia Roberts's daughter Hazel Moder contemplated wearing her iconic Oscars dress to a high school dance. The actress famously donned a vintage Valentino gown to the Academy Awards in 2001, where she was presented with the Best Actress prize for her performance in Erin Brockovich.
During an appearance on CBS Sunday Morning, Julia revealed that the dress recently caught Hazel's eye when they were looking for prom outfit options. "My daughter was digging through the closet looking for possible prom dresses last spring, (and) was, like, 'What's this dress?' I said, 'Well, try it on. ' It was too big for her, but she looked so lovely," she recalled. "Your daughter didn't know that that was her mother's Oscar (dress)?" interviewer Jane Pauley asked, to which the 54-year-old exclaimed: "I don't think she did!"Elsewhere in the conversation, Julia recounted how she had her first and only fitting in the Valentino number the day before the Oscars. "It was a beautiful dress that I tried on the Saturday before the Sunday of the Oscars for the first time," she smiled. "We didn't do anything to it; it fit perfectly. "Julia and her husband Daniel Moder are parents to twins Hazel and Phinnaeus, 17, as well as 15-year-old Henry. .
