Roger Mitchell, the director of Notting Hill, passed away this week at the age of 65 and now one of the stars of the film, Julia Roberts, is paying tribute.

News that Roger was “such a kind and gentle man. He always had a sweet grin on his face and a perfect piece of direction to share.
I feel so fortunate to have had such a fantastic opportunity to work with him.” She also sent condolences to his children, Harry, Rosie, Maggie and Sparrow, “the true lights of his life.” We’ve tragically lost so many stars this year.
