An Ayrshire businesswoman has won her battle to improve the offering at her trendy barber’s shop - despite the plans being labelled “revolting.” Donna McIntyre submitted proposals for outdoor seating at the McIntyre Barberista, on Prestwick Main Street.
She sought retrospective planning permission for outdoor seating at the shop, along with a part change of use and alterations at the Barberista.The shop boasts old-fashioned records, a vintage scooter and has become a “vibrant community space” in recent months where punters can sit, relax and have a freshly brewed coffee while they wait for a haircut.It also helps men feel socially included.
