Josie Gibson was quickly defended by fans as she made her first appearance on This Morning of the week. The TV star is at the helm of the ITV daytime show until Thursday this week as she steps in to replace Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield.
The show's usual hosting duo headed off on their usual half-term break last week with Josie and Dermot O'Leary stepping in. Kicking off the programme on Monday (February 13), Josie confirmed that she'd be fronting the show with the former X Factor host until Thursday with Alison Hammond looking likely to return for her usual Friday stint.
Getting the show officially underway, Josie and Dermot were joined by regular guests Gyles Brandreth and newspaper columnist Sonia Sodha as they discussed the latest news headlines and other popular topics making the papers today. The 38-year-old, who brought the sunshine to the This Morning studio in a bright, eye-catching yellow dress, said: "I've got to tell you, before we went to a break Gyles turned round and went 'you look like a post-it note'".
