Josh Duggar initially had a release date of August 22, 2032 but that has just been extended. The 34-year-old – known for being the oldest child on 19 Kids and Counting, was officially sentenced to over 12 years in his child pornography case last year after being found guilty in court. 2, 2032. He was placed in solitary confinement in February for sneaking in a cell phone, according to The Sun. Josh‘s lawyers are appealing his conviction, arguing that investigators violated his rights by seizing the phone he was using to try to call his lawyer during the search that found the images.
They are also appealing based on a trial judge preventing them from arguing that Josh‘s former friend was actually responsible for downloading the child pornography. Josh‘s sister Jinger Duggar Vuolo was one of the first of his siblings to comment on his child pornography charges after he was found guilty.
