The 19 Kids and Counting star applied to Arkansas federal court claiming he is not a flight risk because he is a 'widely recognised face.' Duggar has a pregnant wife and six children at home, but a judge previously ruled that he would be barred from living with them if he were to be released on bail.
The 33-year-old dad has been charged with one count of receipt of child pornography and one count of possession of child pornography.
He pleaded 'not guilty' to both and remains in custody. The application for bail comes as video was released of Duggar inside his cell.
