Jose Mourinho has hit back at Paul Merson's claim that his style of football does not suit Harry Kane by comparing him to the likes of Didier Drogba and Cristiano Ronaldo.
Kane made an unconvincing return from injury in Tottenham's draw with Man Utd on Friday, a few months after hinting he would be open to leaving the club.
Merson has since admitted he was "worried" for the striker when Mourinho was appointed, and told Sky Sports : "I don't see him [Kane] getting 25-30 goals next season with the way Jose will want to play." But Mourinho has now called on examples of strikers he has worked with previously to rubbish Merson's suggestion.
