Jordan North may be the host of BBC Radio 1's drivetime show, however the 33-year-old has admitted that his beginnings in local radio didn't run so smoothly thanks to his partying ways.
The York-born broadcaster told OK!.co.uk in an exclusive chat that he once fell asleep live on the radio after a night of clubbing in his early twenties. "I was still trying to go out every weekend and get drunk with a weekend job at a station called Rock FM in Lancashire," Jordan said. "I went out and walked out of this club at 4am, but was on air at 6. "I fell asleep in the studio. That's probably my biggest on-air blunder - falling asleep during a show.
How have I still got a job in broadcasting?" Jordan recently released his first book with etiquette expert William Hanson - Help I Sexted My Boss - based on the pair's podcast of the same name. "It's funny - it's with a pinch of salt, a cheeky wink.
It's a bit tongue in cheek," he said. "It's a perfect Secret Santa present, even if they've never listened to the podcast." The presenter co-wrote the book with his fellow podcast host William, and the pair make sure to cover different areas of expertise throughout.
