Jonny Evans has revealed Harry Maguire was straight on the phone to him after being handed the Man Utd captaincy, as his old colleague had already predicted it would happen.

The pair were teammates at Leicester for a brief period after former United defender Evans moved to the King Power stadium from West Brom in 2018.

After forming a solid partnership at the back, United soon came after Maguire, and Evans advised him to complete a move to Old Trafford as he claimed one day he would wear the captain's armband.
