Johnny Depp 'threw magnum of champagne at Amber Heard' before 'dragging her by hair' on her birthday

Johnny Depp threw a magnum of champagne at Amber Heard when they got into a fight on her birthday, the High Court heard today.

The Pirates of the Carribbean actor is accused of getting angry when Heard confronted him about arriving late to her birthday celebrations on April 22 2016 and leaving early Sasha Wass QC asked Depp if he picked up the large bottle of champagne and threw it at Heard which missed her, before dragging her to the floor by her hair.

Depp is in the fourth day of his libel case against News Group Newspapers and giving testimony and denies the allegations. He said he missed the start of the party because he had some bad news and "may have" smoked some marijuana "to calm down".
