Johnny Depp was spotted in a Newcastle pub garden with Sam Fender as the verdict on the defamation lawsuit he launched against his ex-wife Amber Heard was heard.
Shortly after 7pm UK time, the jury announced they had ruled in favour of Johnny as they read out the verdict in the courthouse in Fairfax County, Virginia, on Wednesday 1 June.
Actor Johnny, 58, was awarded $15million in damages – $10m (£8m) in compensatory damages and $5m in punitive damages.The jury also ruled that Amber's countersuit case was unproven – but she was awarded $2million in damages for a statement Johnny's lawyer made about her.
Just as the results of the high-profile case was heard, Johnny was spotted at the Bridge Tavern in Newcastle. Singer and songwriter Sam shared a snap of him in the company of the Fantastic Beasts actor and his longtime friend and collaborator Jeff Beck.
