Johnny Depp's fans have been rushing to buy the Dior aftershave he is the face of after he lost his libel trial. The Pirates of the Caribbean actor, 51, sued The Sun over a 2018 article that called him a "wife beater", but the High Court judge ruled there was enough evidence that he attacked his then wife, Amber Heard, to be fairly called so by the newspaper.

Depp has strenuously denied beating his ex-wife and in turn accused her of abuse, which she has denied. After losing the case, Depp was asked to step down from his role as Gellart Grindewald in JK Rowling 's blockbuster Fantastic Beasts series.
