Johnny Depp has denied claims he slapped his ex-wife Amber Heard after she mocked his tattoo tribute to ex Winona Ryder. The actor, 57, and Heard, 32, both headed to London's High Court today for the second day of his libel case against News Group Newspapers.

Depp is suing NGN over a story published in The Sun in 2018 which branded him a "wife beater" - a claim which he denies. Yesterday, Depp began giving testimony and he has returned to the witness stand today for a second day giving evidence.

Sasha Wass QC, for NGN, questioned the actor over claims he'd hit Heard in March 2013 after she'd laughed at his tattoo. The Pirates of the Caribbean previously had the words "Winona Forever" inked on his arm in tribute to his former girlfriend,
