TMZ reports.According to the death certificate obtained by the outlet, the “John Wick” actor, who passed last month at 60 years old, was diagnosed with Ischemic Heart Disease and Atherosclerotic Coronary Artery Disease.
The death certificate also states Reddick will be cremated.Atherosclerosis, a type of arteriosclerosis per Mayo Clinic, is a condition where the arteries become narrow due to plaque build-up, resulting in coronary artery disease.“The Wire” star died March 17 after collapsing in his Studio City home that morning.
At the time, his representatives told The Post that he passed suddenly due to natural causes.“Lance will be greatly missed,” his spokesperson said in an emailed statement.TMZ reported that Reddick’s wife, Stephanie, discovered him collapsed in the backyard and phoned 911.Following a press tour for the film, Reddick was absent from the “John Wick: Chapter 4” New York City premiere last month just days prior to his passing.
After his death, his co-stars donned blue ribbons on the red carpet at the Los Angeles premiere of the action-packed film.“We are deeply saddened and heartbroken at the loss of our beloved friend and colleague Lance Reddick,” actor Keanu Reeves and director Chat Stahelski told Deadline in a joint statement. “He was the consummate professional and a joy to work with.
