John Simm has spilled the beans on the future of the hit ITV drama series Grace as its fourth season kicks off with a bang on ITV.The Life on Mars icon, 54, has donned his detective hat once again to play Detective Superintendent Roy Grace in what's touted as the biggest season yet.
In a twist from the norm, where previous seasons have showcased just two episodes, this time around fans are treated to a double dose with four gripping episodes in season four.With the first episode of Grace having premiered on Sunday September 1, the actor graced the This Morning set on Tuesday to delve into details about Grace season four and let slip a tantalising nugget about the possibility of a fifth series.
When hosts Ben Shephard and Cat Deeley mentioned: "Well you know you're onto a success because in matter of fact you're filming series five.
You're in the middle of it right now!" John revealed: "I'm straight back on set, we're doing episode four season five. We've just started it!"During the conversation, he also expressed how chuffed he is that Peter James, the mastermind author behind the series, pens the character of Detective Superintendent Roy Grace with him in mind.
