John Legend Announces New Album, Chrissy Teigen Says She Learned Title with Everyone Else

John Legend just announced his eighth studio album, but it seems he forgot to tell his wife Chrissy Teigen the details!

The 43-year-old singer-songwriter took to his social media pages on Friday (August 5) to announce that Legend will be released on September 9.

The album will feature both Act I and Act II, both consisting of 12 songs each. “Until this point, I’ve never used an aspect of my name as the title of an album,” John said in a statement. “I had to earn that, to live up to it by delivering in the performance and the music.

And this is me saying, I’m proud of who I am, I’m confident in the work I’ve done, and I’m just going to declare it.” Well, John forgot to tell Chrissy the title of the album before he announced it!
