John Hartson knows there’s a huge pile of cash up for grabs this season as well as the prestige of winning the Premiership. The former Celtic hero reckons Brendan Rodgers simply has to be handed a decent wedge to spend – and he’d be tempted to chuck a fair whack towards bagging Adam Idah on a permanent deal.
Hartson is not banking on anything just yet with the title still up for grabs with four games to go. The Hoops are in a strong position with a three point lead and Rangers due at Celtic Park a week on Saturday.
But the big Welshman is well aware this campaign has been far from plain sailing for his old club and boss Rodgers will be thinking about making major moves in the summer – especially with the Champions League on the horizon.The prize for pinching the Premiership has never been higher – with up to £40m up for grabs in the new look European set up next term.
And Hartson reckons the first cheque to be written should be to Norwich City for loan star Idah.He said: “Strikers are hard to find.
