Joey King to Star in Hulu Series 'We Were The Lucky Ones' for Director Thomas Kail
justjared.comJoey King will be starring in another Hulu limited series! After being nominated for an Emmy for her work in Hulu’s The Act, the 22-year-old actress is teaming up with the streamer again for the upcoming series We Were the Lucky Ones.
The eight-episode limited series is an adaptation of the Georgia Hunter novel, which is “inspired by the true story of one Jewish family separated at the start of World War II, determined to survive—and to reunite,” according to Variety.
Hamilton director Thomas Kail will direct and executive produce the series while Erica Lipez will adapt the book for the screen and executive produce as well.
