Joey King Hits the Gym After Celebrating the Wrap of Upcoming Series 'We Were the Lucky Ones'

Joey King is keeping up with her workouts as the summer approaches! The 23-year-old actress was spotted leaving the gym and heading to pick up a smoothie after her workout on Friday morning (June 16) in Santa Monica, Calif. Joey just recently returned back home to Los Angeles after wrapping production on the Hulu limited series We Were the Lucky Ones.

She spent over six months in Romania while working on the show! “That is an official wrap on We Were the Lucky Ones,” Joey wrote on Instagram this week. “The way I see it, there’s the me I was before this show, and there’s the me I am now.” Joey continued, “I owe this experience a great deal of gratitude for not only the friendships it gave me but what it really taught me about life and loss.

Playing Halina was the honor of a lifetime. And working with these people was a once in a lifetime. Ya know when people say ‘those were the good old days’?

Well, when making this show, we knew we were living the good old days in the moment. And I’m so grateful we didn’t let this time pass us by without acknowledging how truly special it was.
